Ankle Movements

Do you know that your ankle is one of the complex joint in your body?

Well it does.
So it is a challenge for me to design implants that is according to the normal movements of ankle joints. That is also why Total Ankle Replacement can be considered as new compared to knee and hip joint replacement.

So right now I just want to share about the degree of movements fo our ankles.

Our ankle can move in 3 degree of movements which is flexion, inversion and rotation.
The main movements is flexion as it is very important each time we walk, run and even while we are standing still. The reason for this movements to exist is that to help stabilize our body.
